Heartfelt Moment Cat Holds Owners Hand During His Last Vet Visit

The internet is inconsolable when Reddit user “abherna3” posted a heartfelt image of his cat Little Andrew on the last trip to the vet.

The Russian blue cat is clutching his owners’ hands in the picture, which demonstrates the depth of the attachment that may exist between a pet and owner.

The owner Bernhard posted the photo on Reddit and added a caption: “Little Andrew was my junior. He was 15 and a half and loved everyone, but just got old and sick over the last year.

He purred everyday of his life and when he lost that, I knew it was time… He held our hands on his last trip to the vet. Little Andrew was much stronger than his mom and I.”

The cat had been by Bernhard’s side for fifteen and a half years, so we all can understand how sad he was when Andrew crossed the rainbow bridge.

“He was a great guy. He was always happy to see everybody, always won fights with the dog and just wanted you around all the time. He just finally got too weak to keep up,” Bernhard said.

When Bernhard shared the picture on Reddit, he received a lot of sympathy, love, and sympathies from other online users over the passing of his pet.

Others have posted their very first and very last images of their beloved animals.

Despite Andrew’s passing, Bernhard is happy that the memory of Andrew will live on. “I’m just so happy his story has continued. He brought such happiness to me and I hope he continues to make others feel good about their own pets,” he stated.

We would like to give our deepest condolences to Bernhard. Rest in peace little Andrew!
