Meet Matilda, The Cat With The Alien Eyes

Matilda was born on Valentine’s Day in 2013 in a hoarder house in a small town and was adopted by a loving family.

Matilda was born with seemingly normal eyes, but as she grew older and bigger, she started having one squinty eye from time to time.

The doctor discovered that Matilda had a condition called’ lens luxation’.

Since she had a collagen deficiency, she would have a hard time healing from injuries and surgery.

The family decided to simply monitor it because they wanted to avoid a traumatic surgery at all costs.

She also gets regular checkups to monitor any changes signs that she’s uncomfortable.

The cosmic kitty has garnered a lot of attention on Instagram with 159,000 followers.

In March 2016, it was finally time for Matilda’s eyes to be removed completely.

Though Matilda can no longer see, she continues to be happy and loved unconditionally by her parents and canine brother.
