An adorable kitten named “Marshal” is found abandoned near a Brooklyn fire station.

A lifeguard in Brooklyn, NY, rescued Marshal, the cutest ginger-colored kitten found alone near a fire station.

Hero “Cat Wrangler” Heidi rescues kittens on the streets of New York to live “VIP Life” in foster care (Also known as Chez Heidi).

She also shares great education on how to practice TNR (trap, castrate, return). Other topics include how to properly bathe a kitten, single kitten syndrome, socializing, and more. This is really a great tool for anyone interested in getting into the wilds of TNR which, unfortunately, is in huge demand everywhere. When she rescues kittens, she also delivers a burst of happy serotonin that only kittens can.

Tiny ‘Marshal‘ found near fire station. Thousands of fans fell in love with little Marshal and helped name the kitten inspired by where people discovered him. He was the cutest Firefighter at just 3 weeks old, but he needed round-the-clock bottle feeding every 3-4 hours and special attention.

After taking a lovely warm flea bath in Dawn dish soap, Heidi exterminated the remaining fleas with a flea comb, keeping the little one warm with a bath towel and fleece blanket. As usual, Heidi has shared some really important advice on what to do if you come across a little fluffy baby like Marshal. Remember that the mother will most likely be around and in general it is best to keep her with her child if possible.

Heidi said: ‘Marshal was found outside the fire station next to their trash can, it’s not clear if he was left behind by his mother or a human but he is now safe with us. “If you ever see an old Marshals kitten, always wait and watch before removing them. Only if you have reason to believe that the kitten is sick or in danger should it be taken away immediately. If not, pay attention; mothers usually stay nearby just to get food! If 8 hours have passed and still haven’t seen the mother, then you should take the kittens outside and immediately warm and feed them, and seek help for support.”

After dealing with several heartbreaking failures with other rescued kittens, Marshal provided a much-needed wave of serotonin. It’s hard to believe how fast little Marshal has grown, but after 10 days in foster care, he has grown into the chubby, strongest boy. He continues to bring happiness to thousands of people as he grows and matures rapidly.

“Sometimes I think maybe someone swapped it in during the night with another kitten because it’s so big now!! From 253 grams to 465 grams, he’s about to double his weight! Love your chubby child”

After a stressful week, Marshal is something we all need to repeat. In the blink of an eye, Marshal grew up and bonded with his adopted child Penn, who was just 5 weeks old. By pairing Marshal with Penn, both kittens will be much better adjusted and avoid “Single Kitten Syndrome”.

Again, this is great information and is why we encourage everyone to apply in affiliate pairs. That way, the kittens will use up their energy and learn “how to feed a cat”. But importantly, they also learn to interact with humans, learn boundaries, and bite behavior is not appropriate behavior. It’s a win-win, and kittens are usually happier with another feline friend.

Marshal’s story, with its elements of discovery and the compassionate involvement of firefighters, has the potential to capture the hearts of many. It serves as a reminder of the unexpected places where animals can be found and the impact that acts of kindness and rescue can have on their lives.

As Marshal’s story unfolds, it would be heartwarming to see the adorable kitten thriving in a safe and nurturing environment. The attention and care provided by the firefighters and the community would play a vital role in shaping Marshal’s future, ensuring that this once-lonely kitten finds a forever home filled with love, companionship, and warmth.

Thanks to Heidi Wrangles Cats for this important information (and serotonin!). To know more about Marshal and other adorable pets and cats, you can follow and support Heidi on Instagram and Facebook.
