Emma Patricia’s home is hardly ever calm because of her four hyperactive rescue kitties.
Especially the two rescues, Norman and Noah, who enjoy playing and tussling with one another.
“My little sister actually found Noah when she was on a canoe trip. He was down on the riverbed, and I came and got him, and he never left,” Patricia told The Dodo. “They are brothers and very much act like it.”
“They love to be close to one another,” Patricia said. “Generally, where you find one, the other is close by.”
On a Saturday last month, Patricia was enjoying a little period of peace to enjoy breakfast and a book when a storm started forming.
She spotted her two cats having a private moment of brotherly love as she glanced outside the window.
They had been fighting on the floor just moments earlier, but now they sat side by side, Norman appearing to console Noah.
“The boys love to sit and watch the rain in the window,” Patricia said. “I didn’t think anything of it but then I looked over a few minutes later, and Norman had his arm around Noah and they were just sitting there like that watching the storm.”
Before leaving for work, Patricia managed to quickly take a picture and post it to Twitter.
Her post had gone viral by the time she was home, and she was delighted that the sweet moment had made so many people happy.
Seeing Norman and Noah being friendly to one another is not unusual, but she had never seen them encouraging one another in such a beautiful way before.
“They will hug each other like that to groom one another,” Patricia said. “But to just sit like little thunder buddies that way — never!”
Norman and Noah are siblings, and Patricia is overjoyed that they are also undeniably great friends.
