The Collin County Animal Services loves to share their adoption stories on TikTok. Their TikTok page, which is run entirely by volunteers that aren’t affiliated with the shelter, has more than 51,000 followers and 1.3 million likes.

The hope is that putting them on social media will increase the chances that they get adopted.

A pit bull named Laurel was a favorite at the shelter.

She was stuck in the shelter for months. But sure enough, the shelter staff assured Laurel that she would find her forever family soon

And that day finally arrived. She got a brand new collar so she could look all spiffy for her new family.

All her toys were packed up.

And the staff got ready to say goodbye. Laurel was definitely beloved by the entire staff.

Laurel got to leave the building and hopped into a car with her brand-new family.

She was also going to arrive in her new home before Christmas!

It was certainly the best gift she could ever ask for. It was a precious moment we all got to witness because of the TikTok page.

That TikTok video was viewed more than 24,000 times on TikTok. But the moment that Laurel realized she had a forever home is even more special.

That’s because Laurel broke out into a big huge happy grin.

She realized that would never ever have to spend another night in a shelter. Laurel would have anxiety in the loud, noisy shelter

So the staff would often bring her into the quiet room to relax and unwind.

But that was no longer needed.

Laurel would be safe and sound forever with a comfy quiet place to sleep. Not only safe but also very, very loved

The video of Laurel realizing that she was getting adopted went mega-viral. It was viewed more than 6.7 million times on TikTok!

“That tail was going all over the place,” one TikTok commenter wrote.

The animal shelter volunteer affirmed that Laurel’s tail went from “0 to 100 so fast.

You’re happy they’ve hopefully found their furever home but you’re still sad to see them go. It must be so bittersweet for you,” wrote another commenter.

The story couldn’t be more proud to see Laurel get adopted.
