Fedya, a three-year-old cat from Rostov, Russia, has gathered some attention online after his owner, Natalia Zhdanova, 41, posted his snaps on Instagram.
The feline was born with a coordination disorder and struggled to move around, and Natalia feared he might not survive when she found him in her back garden nearly three years ago.
However, the pet is now thriving and his fluffy grey fur has made him an Internet hit.
Natalia Zhdanova, 41, was persuaded to post pictures of Fedya online by her friend – and the cute kitty now counts more than 88,000 fans on the social media platform.
Natalia said: ‘I love photographing cats, but they don’t really like it. So I have to interest them. I play with them, or take them off when they’re in a good mood.
‘Our cats are very fond of licking each other, such videos are very pleasing to our subscribers. Cats play and catch up with each other.’
Fefya is often seen playing and hunting with Handsome, Natalia’s neighbour’s cat.
She joked the pet loves to ‘hunt’ handsome and to beckon him with his paw.
‘People really like photos and videos with Fedya. It evokes good feelings and wonderful emotions.
Fedya’a gentle demeanour has proved a hit with his fans, and Natalia is delighted that her pet is making people happy.
‘A friend persuaded me to put Fedya on the Internet, as she realised that he was an unusual cat. For me, Fedya was completely ordinary, I did not notice that he was not like everyone else, he was just my cat.’
Natalia says she’s been pleasantly surprised by the reaction her cat has had online, and says she values her pet’s ‘kindness and spontaneity’ the most.
‘We were very surprised by the popularity of Fedya!
‘For us, he is an ordinary, simple cat, with a unique appearance, no more’, said Natalia in an interview with Bored Panda last year.
‘It is very nice, of course, that so many people love Fedya, this is so encouraging for us!’
